Despite APD's attempt to allay community concerns, questions and speculation have run rampant. The police attributed most of the deaths to drowning accidents due to the lake's proximity to nightclubs and bars.
The last body was found on December 1. The victim was recently identified as 73-year-old Thi Lang Nguyen. Austin police said nothing is related to the other deaths this year.
